I love the ocean and the marine life that I’ve encountered across the globe always fascinates me – whether it’s diving with sharks in Byron Bay or being joined on a surf by some friendly dolphins, the waters of the world are full of amazing surprises.
Nothing can really beat a good encounter with a turtle though and I’ve been lucky enough to have more than my fair share of time with this gentle giants of the sea.
They swim so effortlessly, rarely seem bothered by the presence of people (unless of course you go grabbing and touching them!) and they generally seem the epitome of chilled and relaxed!
This turtle was one of a handful I swam with on the beautiful Perhentian Islands in Malaysia – kicking back enjoying a good cleaning session as he cruises through the water.
They’re simply amazing creatures…
