Having bounced back into mainland Asia late last week after an incredible month exploring Bali I landed into the much different world of Singapore. Gone were the hawkers, the chaos and unfortunately the backpacking budget! Still Singapore is a beautiful place to explore and – despite being pretty ill – I managed to drag myself down to the Marina to shoot some shots of this magnificent city lit up at night and reflected across the water.
The cityscape of Singapore is beautiful at night, so if you find yourself in this part of the world head for the Marina Bay Sands Hotel (you really can’t miss it, it’s an icon of Singapore!) and chill out by the waters edge with the jazz band playing in the background, the humid air keeping you warm and take some time out to appreciate it’s skyline.

Stop it. City lights get me every time…
you can take the girl out of Sydney but you can’t take the Sydney out of the girl hey Georgia?!
The view is so beautiful. Thanks for this image Chris. I have been to Singapore many times, but, I have never experienced the real beauty of Singapore.
Cheers Peter!
Get yourself down to the marina next time your there!
Was there all last week, left this morning! The picture of the week on my site is from the Marina as well, but from the Flyer! I just loved Singapore, the food, the people, the orderliness (sp?). Will go back!
oooo great perspective Jennifer! I liked it there too even though cities aren’t really my thing. My bank balance on the other hand hated it!haha!
Is there any cost to visit Marina Bay Sands Hotel?
If you want to use the rooftop pool yes, but you can walk around the waterfront and the shopping complex by it for free :)
