This week, instead of just a single image I’m giving you a little photo montage from the day I spent exploring Angkor Wat in Siem Reap.
Two reasons for this – firstly because I couldn’t pick a single shots and secondly because I don’t think I could write a post on Angkor Wat that wouldn’t go over anything you won’t find a million times over in guidebooks or online….plus a picture is worth a thousand words, so consider this a small essay on the jewel of Cambodia
Also all the images are edited using an aged photo type filter I’ve been playing around with – unfortunately the weather wasn’t how I’d wanted it which meant I couldn’t utilise blue skies and old temples to get the shots I envisaged, however I think this editing helps emphasise the ancient ruins of the temples I visited…enjoy!
powerful shots! the black and white is awesome :)
cheers Kate – i think it works pretty well too!
Love the filter… you got some amazing shots! I like them all… these are honestly some of the best I’ve seen of the temple in a while. Makes me so excited to go there soon!!!
thanks Jaime! you’ll love Cambodia, easily the best country I’ve visited in Asia :)
get yourself a grad filter! its perfect for when the sky isn’t cooperating. Nice edits though. Can’t wait to see this place.
I’ve got a whole heap of filters in my bag, I’m just useless at remembering to take them with me on day trips!haha!
