BYRON FEATURE; Nightlife – The Beach Hotel

The Beach Hotel – or the Beachie as it’s more commonly known – is a great venue for a drink…or maybe two!

Situated right opposite Main Beach it has stunning panoramic views from both the indoor area and outdoor tables.
One of the main attractions of the Beachie is the vast array of live music and DJ’s it offers. Year round it hosts a mixture of local and national music. Take this month for instance, the almighty Cat Empire will be gracing it’s stage, which is sure to produce some music treats and a capacity crowd.
The Sunday sessions here are pretty sweet too. Chillax with an ice cold beer on the patio whilst watching the sun set over Mount Warning and the ocean turn a fiery orange, especially good after an evening surf :)
My personal favorite though is the Reggae and Dub Step night on a Friday, which atacts backpackers and locals alike, producing an awesome vibe and a good alternative from binge drinking backpackers!

The food and coffee during the day is pretty dam good too, you can’t go wrong on a sunny day with an ice coffee and some wireless Internet to brag to all your friends in the English Drizzle!

Drinks wise expect to pay around $5 a schooner, and due to it’s more local appeal there don’t tend to be any drinks offers.
But definitely recommended.
