BYRON FEATURE; Nightlife – Cocomangas

So after your initial night at the Monkey you’ll be looking for maybe an alternative to either start or finish your night. Perhaps table dancing and wall to wall backpackers just isn’t your scene?
In which case these another club venue that will probably fit the bill – Cocomangas

Cocos is situated right in the middle of the high street next to Billabong and pretty much opposite Nomads Hostel. It’s a nicely furnished club venue with a bit more style and finesse than Cheekys. Broken down into two floors there’s bound to be some tuneage you want to dance too!

Their drinks menu is also a bit more styled than other venues and they boast an impressive cocktail menu – White Russians all round me thinks! And if you can’t decide on what to drink speak to Alf or one of the bartenders and they’ll bosh out some tasty treats for you.
The in house drink if “Jam Jars” is definitely one to sample, made even easier by the fact all hostel have a stamp which gives you free entry and a free drink – a sticky concoction of vodka, malibu and fruit juice…it slips down really easy! And it’s served in…funnily enough…a Jam Jar!

During the summer months the upstairs has an open air balcony and the glass doors slide back – so you can enjoy the warm night air without leaving as a sweaty mess, but I guess it depends how hard you dance!

A good alternative to Cheekys, or simply a nice atmosphere to start your night out in – well worth a visit.
