The OlloClip Photo Contest – The Winners!
Over the last week my inbox has but full of email votes for the iPhoneography travel competition I’ve been running in conjunction with OlloClip and iTraveliShootiPhone.com.
To start with I had a heap of difficultly narrowing it down to the top 12 shots, so I got everyone involved in helping pick the 2 winners – who will both receive an iPhone lens adaptor courtesy of the guys over at OlloClip.
All the entries I got were amazing images, covering a whole area of subjects, styles and editing techniques – but at the end of the day I could only pick 2!
So without further distraction the winners are…
I personally love this shot by Nilesh and it reminds me of all the adventure of travel – the rope bridge, the jungle, the ominous shadows of uncertainty…it has it all! And of course photography wise it’s spot on too, great composition colours and lighting. It’s simple yet striking. I look forward to seeing how an Olloclip adds to Nileshs’ photo skills!
The second winner is Michal. There’s some great editing going on here which is a great showcase of abilities of your iPhone. As a travel shot too it’s perfect, again steeped in mystery and a taste of the exotic. It reminds me of my time in Asia (even though I’m not sure it was shot there!) and the mixture of the mist, colouring even the flock of birds captured overhead draw my eye back to it every time – good work!
A big thank you to everyone that entered the competition and of course the guys over at OlloClip for providing the prizes!
