HOSTEL REVIEW: Pyramid Campsite
I choose this site as it was the nearest and first hit that came up when searching for somewhere to stay during the Quiksilver Pro.
It’s an absolute bargain at $25 per pitch per night, which includes 2 people, one car/van and a tent. Additional persons are charged at $10 pppn. Stay a week and get the 7th night free, which means 4 people camping for a week works out at $60 per person!
BARGAIN!
Great facilities onsite, including a fully equipped kitchen, TV, games room, swimming pool, clean toilets/showers and free wifi.
Only a 5 min drive from Rainbow Bay/Snapper Rocks and the town centre. 10mins drive can find you at one of 2 shopping centres – either Coolangatta (over the bridge) or Tweed Centro.
Works great as a base for day trips to the theme parks near Surfers Paradise if you’d rather be in a relaxed location with world class surf rather than the Gold Coasts version of Falaraki!
Highly Recommended.
Cleanliness – 5/5
Atmosphere – 2/5
