HOSTEL REVIEW: Byron Bay Tourist Village

On my return to Byron I ended up not going back to the previously reviewed ‘Beaches’ campsite – simply due to the fact some friends were staying here instead.

Ended up having a few nnight on special at $12pppn but then it went up to $15pppn for the remainder of my stay.

The campsite is really well situated to get into town and the beach, about a 20min walk or 5 min drive north of Byron.

It has a clean pool, spacious indoor kitchen/TV area (although this shuts at 10pm) and plenty of onsite facilities.

Really good security too – the gates are like Fort Knox and have passcode access! The odd thing is there are no real designated pitches, its kind of a free for all! Worked really well for our group though, but it depends on what you like!

Cleanliness – 4/5

Atmosphere – 2/5

Facilities – 3/5
