The old favourite! One of those must have items for any trip a travel adaptor is always a solid buy. Personally I’d recommend one with USB ports and that can cover a variety of countries to be extra useful.
Ok this one is going to sound weird but honestly it’s one of the most used items in my backpack! Why you ask? Well it means you can charge 4 items using only one travel adaptor so it’s great for hostels and hotels with rubbish plug sockets!
4. TouchNote Credits
I love this awesome app (available on Apple, Android and desktop) which basically turns your photos into postcards, prints and posts them, all for around $1.50 a card! Great for keeping the family up to date.
Passports are a travellers most prized possession and passport holders make great budget gift ideas! Opt to go the personality route with something that reflect them or go all high tech with and RFID blocking case that doubles up as a wallet.
Personally I dont use them but many of my travel buddies swear by their eye mask and ear plug kits for long haul journeys and hostel life. There’s plenty of eye masks to choose from out there so you can get one that really nails the receivers personality.
